So today I had a chance to attend an Entrepreneurship event and I would like to share few among many lessons I learned. The even was organised by Tony Elumelu Foundation and United Bank For Africa with the aim of inspiring and mobilizing Tanzania Entrepreneurs to apply for the Seed funding on the current TEF cohort if you do not know what that is you can check it here https://www.tonyelumelufoundation.org/

We had many entrepreneurs the auditorium was full and the organizers had not expected this,Mr Joseph Kusaga founder of the CLOUDS Entertainment Limited was the main speaker as well Mr Allen Kimambo one of the successful TEF alumni was also there (you can read his story here https://www.thecitizen.co.tz/magazine/success/Multi-million-business-built-from-waste-paper/1843788-4153194-2l1oss/index.html)

It was a big event full of passion and hunger for success with a lot of lessons but few are as follows:-

*Passion*, It is good to start your entrepreneurship career from your passion,it is very easy to build up, get committed as well focus on the things you are passionate about, here i could relate a lot for me I am very passionate with technology,Passion is a feeling of intense enthusiasm towards or compelling desire for someone or something.

The other thing I observed from the two was *Partnership*, they say if you want to go faster go alone but if you want to go far go together, now a good entrepreneur must have an ability to choose good partners, partners are the people whom you choose to go with in the journey so it is likely that your success as a business depends in them as it is in you.

One last thing I learnt is that we have a bigger opportunity to build big companies now, we have a lot of resources that we sometimes take them for granted, the phones, the internet all these have made the world much closer that now it is very easy for a person to leverage an opportunity from another part of the world , this can only act as an advantage for us youth of Tanzania if we decide to take action and initiative, to grab these opportunities and change the narrative.
